In this role, you will combine hands on technical expertise with customer facing skills to guide clients through the full lifecycle of adopting our advanced sensing and geospatial technology solutions. You will work directly with our clients that are survey companies, civil engineering consultancies, infrastructure owners, public authorities, and research organizations across Europe. Your industry knowledge—whether it comes from land surveying, geophysical measurement, utility locating, pavement evaluation, or broader geospatial workflows—will allow you to translate client needs into effective technical solutions and help ensure successful project outcomes. Frequent travels will be required.

Responsibilities:

Pre‑Sales & Technical Consulting

  • Act as the primary technical advisor for prospects and customers in Europe.
  • Conduct product demonstrations in real‑world environments such as highways, airports, rail corridors, and mapping of subsurface utilities.
  • Support Sales in preparing technical proposals, statements of work, and technical sales documentation.
  • Analyze customer use cases from subsurface projects, asset inspection, and geospatial data integration to recommend the right combination of hardware and software.
  • Frequent travel to customer sites for demonstrations and technical trouble shooting is required.

Implementation, Field Support & Workflows

  • Assist clients in setting up field workflows, data collection techniques, and integration with existing surveying tools (e.g., GNSS equipment, total stations, GIS platforms).
  • Provide deep technical expertise with sensors, antenna arrays, and geophysical data‑processing software.
  • Perform hardware diagnostics and project data troubleshooting when needed.

Training & Customer Enablement

  • Deliver technical training for survey teams, geospatial professionals, and engineering staff—both onsite and remotely.
  • Develop training materials and best‑practice guides tailored to European survey workflows, data standards, and national infrastructure requirements.
  • Act as an escalation point for advanced technical questions involving data interpretation, acquisition challenges, or system configurations.

Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Kontur Product and Engineering teams to translate European surveying and geospatial requirements into product improvements.
  • Collaborate with Kontur Marketing to produce technical content for industry events, webinars, and region‑specific campaigns.
  • Participate in pilot programs, R&D initiatives, and product validation studies.

Regional Operations

  • Support the development of a European hub for equipment servicing, demos, and customer training.
  • Assist in maintaining demo fleets and logistics.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements and documentation, ensuring scalable delivery across multiple European countries.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geodesy, Surveying, Geomatics, Geophysics, Civil Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a surveying, geospatial, GPR, or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with common surveying principles (e.g., coordinate systems, data acquisition workflows, GNSS, GIS integration).
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience working hands‑on with instrumentation, sensors, or electronics.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to a range of users with differing technical backgrounds.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using or supporting ground‑penetrating radar (GPR) systems.
  • Knowledge of European survey standards, geospatial regulations, or national infrastructure authority requirements.
  • Experience in pavement evaluation, utility detection, or structural inspection workflows.
  • Familiarity with cloud‑based geospatial platforms, field‑to‑office workflows, and data visualization tools.
  • Ability to create training content for surveying and engineering teams.

Core Competencies:

  • Strong geospatial and surveying understanding
  • Practical, hands‑on technical problem solving
  • Customer‑centric communication
  • Project coordination and field‑readiness
  • Ability to operate independently across multiple European markets
